I feel like my grades hurt me badly, but I feel like my ec's are more than above average. | The fact that you took 8 AP classes and the rest were honors with a gpa of 3.3 automatically shows the university that you challeneged yourself GREATLY! A university would rather see someone who challanged them and didn't do so well rather than someone who took all regular classes and recieved a 4.0 + you have a BUNCH of extracirriculars, which is awesome! good for you!
Im sure you'll get into whatever University you wanted.. Good Luck!! | What are the downsides of this form of advertising? Pay per play audio ads, they play 5 second audio ads, they can be targeted by geography, demographics, keyword, and time slots, like radio. professionally or amateur produced,
The rates seem really low, especially for the amount of specificity. Have you done any advertising with them? Have you chosen not to? If so, why?
If you are considering paying for Audio Advertising, What specific questions would you have to have answers for BEFORE you made the buying decision.
here's the link ppp.prosperitypromotions.com
Thanks for your feedback. This will help me in local sales efforts. | - If i understand correctly, these are audio ads that will play on a website?
- Will they be across a network of sites (like an ad network) or are you targeting client websites (eg. on the Pepsi brand site)? If you're targeting client websites, why would a client pay for audio that they could program into their site themselves? If it's across a network, can the advertiser opt out of specific sites they don't want to be on?
- Will the audio be user initiated? Can users opt out somehow? If not, I'd be really concerned about the annoyance factor.
- Technically, how would the audio interfere with a streaming video ad with sound, running on the same page at the same time?
- Will the live ads have that annoying beep before and after (as per the example on your site)?
- Is there a way to serve or track via a 3rd party (eg. Atlas or DART)?
- What will be reported - number of plays?
- Rates (obviously). | I'm 16 why can't I get a job? I am 16, I live in Ontario, Canada. I have had several online business ventures, have considerable experience in customer satisfaction and solving problems. I have strong computer and communication skills. I don't have much experience working under someone, just lawn cutting for a company that I can't get a reference from. All of that is on my resume.
On the rare occasion that I get an interview, I always show up in business clothing such as dress pants, shined leather shoes, dress shirt and tie. It seems the harder I try, the less likely it is for me to get a job.
I would start a full time summer business but I am lacking capital. I don't have anyone that can lend me money and can't get a loan.
I just got turned down today for another job that I had an interview for on wednesday. I watch all of my friends around me getting jobs from doing next to nothing. I try so hard but no one will cut me some slack. I can't even get a job at a damn grocery store for crying out loud.
I think it has to be something wrong with my resume. Can you please critique it and make annotations?
Here is a copy of my resume:

Thanks, I don't want to sound needy but I need a job badly. I've even been to employment offices and requested to be contacted from a youth employment organization but not surprisingly, they didn't contact me back.
What am i doing wrong?
Thanks a bunch | This may sound like a strange answer but your resume is too good. Think of it this way, you are an employer at wal-mart, you don't want a computer programmer, or someone with allot of other skills as they are not likely to stick around for long.
You need to custom tweak each resume depending on the job. Your resume sounds like you are 25 years old with allot of business experience. Now don't get me wrong that is fantastic! But it is not what an employer might be looking for.
Just one extra tip, I don't like the:
"To obtain a position that will enable me to use my strong communication skills, customer-oriented background and ability to work well with people."
It is too impersonal you should say something like:
"I have strong communication skills and enjoy working with people. I feel I could be a asset to any company as I have experience in dealing with customers and get on well with others"
Hope that helps : ) |
