Movie clips as examples for my psych presentation? Hi everyone :)
I'm trying to finish up a psych presentation thats due tomorrow :O but I'd really like to try and find a few clips to show examples of the disorders I'm covering. I've tried youtube and google and even looked through my movie collection but I haven't had any luck in finding GOOD examples.
The disorders I'm covering are
Avoidant Personality Disorder - where an individual avoids social interaction for fear of being criticized
Dependent Personality Disorder - where an individual is dependent on other people to make decisions for them, a needy, clingy personality
And
Obsessive Compulsive PERSONALITY disorder - Kind of an anal character, these individuals are extremely orderly and like lists. Perfectionists would be a good name for them. They need to do everything their own way and can't work in groups. Not to be confused with Obsessive compulsive disorder, with the rituals of handwashing, checking, etc.
Do these descriptions ring a bell for anything you've seen in a movie? If so, PLEASE let me know which movies! It'd be much appreciated. Thank you so much | | For "obsessive compulsive personality disorder" the character Adrian Monk on the show Monk on USA is a good example. That's all I can think of, sorry! | I need movie clips for examples for my psych presentation? Hi everyone :)

Thank you so much | | There's a Richard Gere movie called Mr. Jones (1993) that you need to check out. He plays a bipolar person in it. You might find it useful for your presentation. | What should i do when they pretend it didn't happen ??x? im 16 and gay and ave known i was gay from the age of like 14age
and so far have been with 2 of my best friends who i didn't even know were gay which seems to be quite common.
first one was jack (not real names) i had been friends with him from the start of secondary school. i could remember him from primary school but we never spoke, he was the sporty good looking boy of our side of the year cos the years was split into 2 classes.
he allways had girls and was the most popular.
anyhoo we were at mine once and we were sitting on the sofa when he said to me can i go onto te internet so he did and after a while me and him were looking at some porn which i wasn't interested in as it was guy on girl not guy on guy lol
after watching a few clips he told me he was hard and was tensing hid hard cock in his jeans i was confused but turned on.
then we went to bed and i kept thinking of him being hard when he sed to me we should masturbate so we did and i could see him looking at me so i looked at him and he suddenly just rolled onto me and started kissing me it was so amazing. i could feel his soft body ontop of mine and we gave eachother oral and he turned me over and put in in me but when i tried to give him anal he would let me (i am well endowed) and after he sed lets just go to sleep and in the morning he sed nothing and went on as though nothinkg had happened
then earlier this year my other friend nath sed to come over as a usually did on a friday he had some drink but i wasnt really in the mood the night went on and we watched a movie and then we went to bed and for a joke i cuddled him but to my suprise and delight (as he is such a good looking gay he was the most popular lad in the other side of the year and very sporty) he moved my hand down to his crotch and started moving my had up and down and he then tuned over and we were kissing and feeling each other i was in heaven i unbuttoned his jeans and put my had down his boxers he was a good size he then moved up the bed so i moved down and sucked his dick it was great we went on for adged and fell asleep naked hugging eachother
the next morning he got up and got dressed and went down staris and i followed him after a while but nothing not a word the same as the first boy
i allways wanted my first time to be really wonderful, it was kinda but they have never sed anything an they even say to me that i am a virgin
i have never told anyone i am gay and i dont know if i am the only one they have dne with but i dont know if i should ask them about it or just carry on ??? | | i would ask them if what u did together meant anything for them, if they have problems with what u did. And they probably have, seeing as they took off without a word. Tell them it was only for fun or smth like that, u got carried away...or better still .. if u trust them.. tell them your secret. She has a list of things to do (reset all the clocks, redo her mothers fingernails, have a cup of homemade not chocolate) before she commits suicide that night. She's committing suicide because her life didn't turn out to be perfect. the list is literal: she goes around the house crossing off her things to do and humming to herself as she does it--all with the knowledge of what she plans to do. sounds like she might fit the bill. Not like Nicholson's character in As Good As It Gets. he does the ritual thing, but she doesn't have any of that.
Avoidant Personality Disorder--Laura Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie. Played by Karen Allen. she only lives for her collection of glass figurines because she was belittled for being crippled (I think?) due to plueresy (?).
Dependent Personality Disorder--not sure, maybe Sarah (piper lauries character) in the Hustler. she will do anything to stay with paul newman. another maybe is Gloria Swansen in Sunset Boulevard. she's an old film star past her heyday and she's become absolutely obsessed with her young lover. anything he says is okay. but, then she shows streaks of her old movie star egotism. neither perfectly fits the bill. the robots from The Stepford Wives? |
