Who else wishes Harry Potter was aimed for older people? I mean, it would've been a lot cooler if there were more "relationship type things"
Like Stephen King or something.
What do you think? |
| Not I. I think it risible that grown adults sit on the tube engrossed in a guyren's book about witches. Sad. |
Teenage girl, wants to go out to parties but wishes she looked older!? I really want to look older with my friends when I go out to parties and stuff but i'm quite short and have freckles. Has anyone got any makeup suggestions I could use.
(I have tanned skin so its really hard to find a foundation that doesn't make me look orange!!) x |
Absolutelyy....fuckkeedd.
Talk about tryhard. |
Does anyone ever make wishes/dream when theyr older? I am 15, and i make wishes/dream everyday that i could be some sort of angel that will save the universe (kinda stupid)
but does anyone who is an adult ever wish or dream for something that is quite impossible like mine? |
| DEFINITELY! Im 19 years old and i still wish everyday that i could fly on my own....with wings!! That is very quite impossible.. |
Why does the old wish to be younger and the young wish to be older? It seems that way alot in grade school the guys can't wait until junior high then those guys can't wait until highschool who can't wait until college who can't wait to start a career. Then when they are older they say i wish i was young again. What do you think? |
| Because when we are older we have the wisdom to understand that we could have done things so much better. |
What is that movie called? The one with the girl who wishes to be older..? and her wish come true.
She only finds that the older her is a ***** lol
and meets her guy friend whom she falls in love with
then she wishes to be 16 again using the magic dust or something... |
| 13 going on 30 |
Is there anyone who wishes they had an older sister? I wish I did! I am the only guy and thats whats missing in my life someone older to confide in and be there for me! Hopefully God will bless me with a close friend oneday! |
| You could look into the Big Sisters programs that are run by some church organizations (Like Big Brothers). They are young women/men who volunteer to be a mentor/friend to people like you who want someone to confide in and give encouragement to. |
How often do judges take into account a 13 year olds wishes to live with the other parent? Do judges often speak to a 13 year old guy to hear their side? |
| When your 13 it all comes down to who can better support you and even tend too sway on the mothers behalf even when/if she makes less.... Sad but true but if your opinion is an option in court GIVE it and let the judge know where you want to go cause that holds 80% of ground as long as he/she can support you... get my point? As long as the parent can prove they can support you, you will end up with that parent... Judge don't care who you want to be with just who can support you better... |
My friend 19yrs old wishes to emmigrate to oz can she go with a crim record of deception? she is doing community work also going thru bankruptcy, her family are emmigrating this year and she wants to go 2 for a fresh start. |
probably not. All non-citizens seeking to enter or stay in Australia must be assessed against the Character Requirement.
Visa applicants must therefore meet the character requirements defined in Section 501 of the Migration Act 1958. These requirements are usually linked to the class of visa being applied for through Public Interest Criteria (PIC) 4001.
Section 501 of the Act contains a character test to ensure that visa applicants and visa holders are of acceptable character. The test puts the onus on visa applicants, and visa holders, to show that they are of good character.
As well as being a tool to help assess the suitability of applicants to enter and stay in Australia, the test introduces discretionary powers to either refuse or cancel visas if a non-citizen fails the character test.
The character test
A person will fail the character test where:
* they have a substantial criminal record
* they have, or have had, an association with an individual, group or organisation suspected of having been, or being, involved in criminal conduct
* having regard to the person's past and present criminal conduct, the person is found not to be of good character
* having regard to the person's past and present general conduct, the person is found to be not of good character
* there is a significant risk that the person will engage in criminal conduct in Australia, harass, molest, intimidate or stalk another person in Australia, vilify a segment of the Australian community, or incite discord in the Australian community or in a segment of that community, or represent a danger to the Australian community or a segment of that community.

Older sister wishes that I was never born...how can I make her love me? Simply put, my older sister has hated me from day 1. I've always tried to be there for her, have always tried to do things her way, yet she absolutely despises me no matter what I do.
She's 23, I'm 19. She STILL feels the same as when we were guyren.
When I was first born, our mom claimed that she (my sister) would stand above my crib with pencils trying to stab me with them. She would also slap at me, hold my nose closed, and try to hurt me in other various ways. Growing up she also told me I was worthless and didn't deserve the attention I was getting for my grades. "Wow, she got all A's. She's a GENIUS" She would say this sarcastically every time I was proud of myself for an accomplishment.
I've tried to talk to her about these things and even said "I love you, please stop acting this way", and it had absolutely NO effect on her. I'm starting to think she has no heart at all and will ALWAYS hate me.
What should I do? We still live with our parents, but when she moves out I doubt we'll EVER speak again. |
Don't waste your time trying to make toxic people like that love you, even if they are relatives. She gets her power from the fact that a) what she says/does bothers you, and b) that you want her approval. If you stopped giving a sh*t, the power would start to shift in your favor.
See, here's the thing... if you get into the bad habit it trying to make people who hate you like you, it will only hurt you. You may end up with a boss who works you too hard and pays you too little. You may wind up with a boyfriend or husband who abuses you. And you'll put up with it because of your desperate need for approval.
Stop looking for validation from others, and look for love ONLY from those who will give it in a positive way. Surround yourself with the friends and family who are good influences, who are happy in their own lives, and who wish only happiness for you. Cut out those who would see you suffer, like your sister. Once you cut out toxic people, you'll find that your life is much more peaceful and happy, and that your need for approval will decrease because you'll be happy with yourself as you are. |
