How do I keep my 3 year old from peeing her pants when her 6 year old friend does? My 3 year old daughter has been potty trained completely since 18 months (her choice). Our neighbor is 6 and pees her pants on a regular basis (she's very spoiled by her mother). When they are playing and the neighbor pees her pants, then my daughter takes off her own underwear and the other day she had an accident of her own and acted proud of it. She must think it's cool to be like her older neighbor. I don't think it's cool at all. I told the 6 year old she couldn't pee her pants at my house, but don't know what else to do. |
First of all, hold your daughter responsible for the clean up. She can rinse out the wet clothing, put them in the laundry, clean any wet area, and put on dry clothing. Don't help her! She will get bored with it and stop.
I would also say to your daughter "If you're going to choose to pee your pants when you play with "Emma" then I'm not going to let you play with her. When you can play with "Emma" and stay dry then you can play with her again." Keep your daughter away from her friend until she tells you she is ready to stop the behavior. You can also tell "Emma" that she can come over when she is ready to stay dry. Good luck! |
I am a teacher and I have a 12 year old girl who is constantly peeing her pants in my class.? I am a teacher and I have a 12 year old girl who is painfully shy peeing her pants everyday in my class. It smells like she has an infection. I had to ask the mom to take her to a doctor. She said she did take the girl to a doctor and that she was on medicine for a urinary tract infection for ten days. However she is till peeing her pants and it still smells like she has an infection. Should I be concern that there is some sort of abuse going on here? |
| bottom of the issue. Even if it is an infection, UTIs in young girls are one of the classic warning signs that the guy is being molested. You shouldn't make a big deal out of it in the classroom, and embarrass her in front of the other guyren, but please get this little girl some help. |
12 year old girl just started peeing her pants? What would cause a 11 year old (almost 12) year old girl to suddenly out of no where start peeing her pants? And also if you can find any links online about this subject that would help! |
| bladder infection, take her in right away. if it got to her guyneys she may need surgery. my daughter got it at 8 years old, she got it from not wiping correctly. |
My girlfriend keeps peeing her pants when we go to the bar? I am embarrassed and think she has a problem. We go to the bar and the next day she acts as if nothing happened. She pees 3 or 4 times while we are out. How do I discuss my concerns? She laughs it off like it's normal to pee her pants...she has actually suggested I do it too!!! |
tell her to make a appointment with her doctor, and until then stop going to bars with her.
could be bladder problem, or maybe its a anxiety thing.
yeah but tell she needs to get it checked out, tell her in a nice way. cause that's not good
if there are no problems with her, could be some weird fetish thing, i suggest if that's the case after she goes to doctor and if there's nothing wrong, medically or psychologically, then dump her |
Is it common for a 6 year old to start peeing her pants? My daughter who is 6 all the sudden just started wetting her pants almost everyday at school. Her teacher lets them use the bathroom whenever they need to, but I think that she has made them a little afraid of using the hall pass too much. I think she is getting mixed signals and is confused. We have told her that she can get up and just go if she needs to go that bad, so I am wondering, could this be a medical problem? |
| She could have a bladder infection. Ask her if it hurt her when she goes, even a little. If that's not it, and it is that she's gotten mixed signals have a talk with her teacher, maybe coming from her that it's alright to use the hall pass when she has to go will be understood a little more than coming from you. I know in my house what the teacher says overrules mom and dad. (at least my daughter thinks so) |
How do I get my 3 yr old to stop peeing her pants during the day? She's been potty trained for quite a while now and only has accidents at night when she's sleeping. But within the last week, she's started wetting herself in the middle of the day. Today, I had her go potty before her nap, and about 1/2 hr later she had wet herself-but she hadn't even fallen asleep yet. She just laid there and wet herself! She's never done this up until a few days ago. I even took her to the Dr to check for a bladder infection, but he said it's just behavioral. How do I handle this? |
| DO NOT put her back in diapers! Does she go to daycare? Is she around another baby? At this age, they start to realize that they have control over what they do...she could be testing you. If you think its behaviorial, then dont react when she does it. Calmly take her into the bathroom, place her on the toilet, go through the motions, and change her clothes. If it is behaviorial, she will soon see that she is not getting a reaction out of you and she will eventually stop. Meanwhile, she is only three...some guys just go through phases. I would just give it time. If it continues for more than a couple weeks, or if she seems withdrawn, upset, or in pain, I would go back to the doctor. It may take a lot of patience not to get upset with her, but if you give a reaction, negative or not, you are going to warrant more behavior like this. Good luck! |
My daughter is 4'1/2 and has been potty train during the day for about a year and suddenly peeing her pants? shes been potty trained during the day for about a year and still has accidents at night if she has to much to drink.. but all the sudden she started always peeing her pants during the day. we've had no major life changing events. when i ask her why she says i don't know or "im only 4 mom" |
Take her to the doctors. A lot of the time when guyren start having unexplained accidents (especially girls), it's a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI). Is she going more frequently too? They should be able to do a simple urine analysis to check for bacteria and certain other things. Quick fix of antibiotics, but if it is indeed a UTI, you do not want to put it off because over time, the bacteria can travel upward into her bladder and even into her guyneys.
Other possible problems....yeast infection (also should be checked by a doctor) |
How can i get my 4 year old daughter to stop peeing in her pants? She can be playin with here sister or riding her bike and jus pee in her pants instead of going to the bathroom. | Sounds like she is to busy to stop and use the bathroom. Just remind her every so often to go use the restroom. |
How can I stop my 5 yr old daughter from peeing her pants and the bed? We took her to a dr. and she has no bladder problem.
We were told to take her to a guy psycologist and he says she is just trying for attention.
Please any advice is welcomed. |
Its funny how you ask for advice and people just start insulting and calling you a bad parent. I see no were in here that says you claim your daughter to be a problem guy, your just concerned for your guy.
I think you should just be patient, and kind and help her through it. Just because she still does this does not mean your a bad parent so ignore these idiots that keep insinuating this. |
Why is my 3 year old peeing her pants again? My 3 year old daughter was doing really well with potty training about 7 months ago. Now she just turned 3 and she is having accidents about 4 times a day! I don't know why she's regressing. There hasn't been anything that changed in our family recently. What can I do to get her back on track with potty training? I'm really tired of all the pee clothes I have to wash and all the mopping I have to do! Help me please! |
| Could it be that she is just too busy or in to whatever it is she is doing and so ignores the urge to have to pee? I would try reminding her OFTEN that if she has to go, to use the potty. You may also need to put her back into pull ups, until she gets the idea that if she wants to wear big girl panties then she has to use the potty everytime. |
